5ive features photographs by Kathy Lee, Eleanor Mills, Courtney Reid-Eaton, Roberta Wallace and Mary Walter. Meet the artists, view their work, and enjoy wine service provided by Wine Authorities of Durham at the free opening reception.

The artists featured in 5ive are affiliated through friendships and common interests in art and photography. They have belonged to a number of photography groups that have met in and around Durham (one which was founded over 20 years ago and had over 30 women members at one time). They attend art shows together, show work together, and most importantly, meet regularly to provide critique, encouragement and support for each other's photographic endeavors. Creative output ranges from black and white work produced from film and traditional darkroom procedures to digital images and alternative processes. The artistic, photo-based images in this exhibition give a sense of the group, as well as the individuals represented.
