PRIVATE INVESTIGATIONS, on display August 15 through September 16, 2008, presents work by members of the Triangle Black and White Photography Group. Meeting monthly, the group is a self-described “collection of photographers who share a passion for traditional black and white photography and conventional photographic prints made in the wet darkroom.”

PRIVATE INVESTIGATIONS showcases two or three works each from nine members of the group. Participating photographers are Catharine Carter, Dick Cicone, Lawrence S. Earley, Len Eselson, Christof Galli, John Lapp, Mitch Rosen, Tim Telkamp and Joyce Young.

The entirety of the work presented in PRIVATE INVESTIGATIONS was made using non-digital photographic processes. Each photographer manually printed his or her own work which ranges from traditional black and white photographs, or silver gelatin prints, to alternative process prints such as ferrotypes, alumatypes and bromoil prints.
