Handed Down: wall quilts and new fibers work by Jeana Eve Klein
Handed Down gathers imagery and materials from inherited sources with their own histories: abandoned toys, leftover fabric scraps, convoluted childhood memories. Klein's large-scale wall quilts are fraught with narrative suggestion and ripe for viewer interpretation.
A School of Design graduate and former Antfarm studiomate of Dave's, Jeana is a Professor of Art at Applachian State, and will be in town for the reception. Her work exhibits nationally and recently appeared in American Craft and Surface Design Journal.
