Through This Lens gallery is pleased to present two simultaneous exhibitions by Chapel Hill photographers this September; Wabi-sabi: Looking at Japan by Joel Leeb and A Yellowstone Winter by Bob Gilgor.

Wabi-sabi: Looking at Japan includes painstakingly handcrafted platinum prints and vibrant color images which describe both the mysterious vitality and moments of quiet introspection Joel Leeb experienced during travels in Japan. With drastically different content, both photographers seem to share a sense of wonder with the unexpected beauty of the world around them. To create A Yellowstone Winter, Bob Gilgor braved sub-zero temperatures to capture the snow-bound creatures and frosted natural phenomena of Yellowstone National Park found during the harsh winter season.

Both Wabi-sabi: Looking at Japan and A Yellowstone Winter are on display September 19 – October 14, 2008.
