Don't miss a chance to view the widely received and well regarded BAILOUT BIENNIAL (Building 2, Floor 3), the Marcha Forzada Collective: 38 eyes x 57,436 steps (Building 3, ROOM 100) and MARY: the paper doll project (Building 3, Studio 115) at Golden Belt this Third Friday!
Join curator and GB Artist-in-Residence Peter Eversoll for an informal tour and discussion of the Marcha Forzada Collective: 38 eyes x 57,436 steps.
In celebration of Black History Month, The Art of Unity is also hosting an African art exhibit in Building 3, Studio 137. Authentic African art, jewelry and imported prints will be on display, along with yet-to-be-released greeting cards, children's books, posters and drawings available for purchase. A large portion of the art work for sale is done by residents in the Durham community who are homeless and would not under normal circumstances have the opportunity to partake in something like this.
And as always, Golden Belt's artists invite you to experience their artwork in Building 3's thirty-five open studios.
