Beaver Aesthetics--a collection of hand-crafted Beaver Queen Pageant memorabilia at Durham's own Scrap Exchange. The exhibition opens on May 15th in conjunction with downtown Durham's monthly Third Friday celebration with a reception that is free and open to the public.
CALL FOR ART TOO! All tails and other memorabilia need to be either delivered either to the Manor at 401 West Markham by May 1st OR brought to the Scrap Exchange's Green Gallery the week of the installation, NO LATER than Tuesday, May 12th to be included in the exhibit.The opening reception will be a true celebration of the Beaver with beaver tail crafting opportunities, gallery discussions on Beaver Aesthetics led by the renowned Kaferine de Nerve and musical performances by the very talented Beaver Jive Band. There will also be Beaver Pageant "schwag" for sale, as always to benefit the Ellerbe Creek Watershed Association.
