Laura Madejczyk has been making art from found objects since she was a toddler. From the earliest age she would take “trash” and turn it into something special. She currently uses everything from vinyl records to computer parts to children’s toys to create various types of sculpture.

Laura has lived in Durham her entire life. She is 18 years old and graduated from Durham School of the Arts this year. She has been a designer at See Saw Studio, an after-school program for aspiring teen artists, in Durham throughout high school. Laura will be attending Memphis College of Art in the fall.
