Some artist background...
My name is George Louro. I am a father to three beautiful girls Trinity, BellaSky and Luna. My beloved, Natalie has been my partner for 12 years. We moved to Durham 2 years ago from NJ. Living in NJ, I did what I was supposed to do and what was expected of me. Taking a giant leap and moving from the only place I knew, as been life changing for me. I feel that we only live one life and I don't want to die being known as a hard worker. I want to be apart of my family, have a connection with my children, and have connection with SELF.
I have always imagined all the art peices I wanted to do in my head, but I litterally didn't have any mental or physical time. I now work at Trader Joe's. Work stays at work and I can be available and present for Natalie and the girls, and most of all, myself, which is a work in progress. I now have the time emotionally and physically to express myself. I find so much JOY in doing this work. It feels like I am peeling away all of the things I made myself believe about me. The photographs are taken by me and the I use salvaged wood.for the frames. You can see my work at www.livelifeartgeorge.blogspot.com
