Art Hanging Featuring the Works of Alexie Phillips and Pamela Strand at Kung Fu Tattoo
Come join Kung Fu Tattoo for our Third Friday festivities March 19th!
Food, music and of course great art..... Featuring art from two local artists Alexie Philips and Pamela Strand
Alexia Phillips has been involved in free-lance photography for over 20 years. Having attended Parson's School of Design in NYC for graphic design she found herself intrigued by the art of photography. Moving to Boston in the 80's to apprentice under James Daigle, a fashion photographer & all around great guy, she began to express herself through her photography.
Alexia's work ranges from conceptual, portraiture, weddings, to the everyday. The current work on display will be portraits of tattooed women along with images of vintage cars & motorcycles.
Alexia is currently one of the team members at Kung Fu Tattoo.
Pamela is an artist from Durham, NC. She came to photography by way of being an oil painter. Her favorite photographic topics are landscapes, nature, animals, architecture, the whimsical, and fantasy. Pamela specializes in local images, but she enjoys taking photos during her travels as well. The "Fantasy" part of her photographic work blends her photography with her painting skills.
Pamela is a member of the Durham Farmers' Market where she has displays her greeting cards and enlargements from April through November. You can see examples of her work at her website http://madrasplanet.smugmug.com
